Volunteer Screening Online Form!

Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.” Matthew 18:14

What is a Good News Club?
A Good News Club is a one hour and fifteen minute Bible Club for children in grades 1 though 6 held during the school year. It is held the same day each week usually from October through April. The children come as they are right after school to hear a dynamic Bible lesson, sing exciting visualized songs, memorize life-changing Scripture verses by use of games, hear inspiring missionary stories, and share in a fun review game. An opportunity to receive Jesus Christ as Savior is given. Activities to help them grow in Christ are presented. Prizes, snacks and contests are also an enjoyable part of the Good News Club.

Where does a Good News Club meet?
Clubs meet in the neighborhood where children live and they also meet in public schools. Since June 11, 2001 it is totally legal for children to meet for Good News Club after school in the public school. Contact us to see if a Good News Club is held in your school or neighborhood. If not, contact us if you would like to see one started.

To attend a Good News Club your child must have a permission slip.

Who teaches a Good News Club?
Christians who are concerned for boys and girls work together volunteering their time and energy to teach Good News Clubs. The teachers are trained by Child Evangelism Fellowship® workers to have a club that is exciting and informative so that children will want to keep coming. Teachers are asked to sign the CEF® Statement of Faith and agree to abide by the policies of the organization.

Why should children attend a Good News Club?
When children attend a Good News Club they learn respect for authority, moral values, character qualities, and Biblical principles. The Gospel is clearly shared in each meeting and the children are given an opportunity to trust Jesus as their personal Savior. Children are also challenged to grow in their Christian walk. Children are given an opportunity to enroll in the Truth Chasers Club®. There is no charge for children to attend the Good News Club.

Why are parents in favor of after-school Good News Clubs?
Parents are in favor of after-school Good News Clubs because they offer real-life solutions backed by the power of the Word of God; lead children to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; help children develop a committed walk with Jesus Christ; improve memory skills, grades, attitudes, and behavior at school; and offer the moral foundation needed to combat the pressures of drugs, violence, and other harmful influences.

What can I do to help Good News Clubs?
1) You can pray. You can sign up as a prayer partner for a specific school in the Southwest Chapter. Ongoing clubs submit a monthly report with prayer requests for their club. As a member of the prayer team, you will receive their prayer requests by email each month. If your school does not have an ongoing Good News Club, you will receive periodic updates by email. Regardless if your school has an ongoing club or not, you will receive a magnetic prayer card reminder to pray for your school.
2) You can serve. Your neighborhood children need believers like you to bring the life-changing message of salvation to them. Contact us to learn more how you can serve in a Good News Club.
